Suzuki Jimny 4 x 4

The Suzuki Jimny (Japanese: スズキ・ジムニー, Suzuki Jimunī) is a series of four-wheel drive off-road mini SUVs, manufactured and marketed by Japanese automaker Suzuki since 1970.

Originally belonging to the kei class, Japan's light automobile tax/legal class, the company continues to market a kei-compliant version for the Japanese and global markets as the Jimny, as well as versions that exceed kei-class limitations. Suzuki has marketed 2.85 million Jimnys in 194 countries through September 2018.

This is a 1:16 scale Die-cast metal with some plastic parts. This is a very interesting model, in that its detail is quite good for the size. The models body is very straight forward with 2 doors that open reasonably wide and shut with no large body gaps. Also the bonnet lifts up but I feel that it should have been designed to open wider.The rear door , now that opens to allow you to see inside without any problems. The colour is white with the added black for the wheel arches to show off the large off-road tyres. This makes the vehicle stand out. The added indicators located on the mudguards makes this identifiable as the Jimney.

One of the problems that I have in regards to the interiors, is that when they are black like this model, taking photographs can be problematic. So I can relay that the interior is as what the original vehicle design. With this model, it demonstrates that the interior is very well shown that all the Suzuki Jimny's have been designed more for a working small 4x4, and are generally basic in interior design. But reports I have received, is that compared to all of the earlier models of the real Suzuki Jimney is that it is avast improvement in comfort.

So overall this is quite a good model. It does suffer in some areas due to the bonnet not been able to lift better, but all I all, this is a model that displays well 4.0/5.0. Robin Finlay 26/08/2022.
