From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The Ford Bronco Sport is a compact crossover SUV sold by Ford and marketed under the Bronco nameplate. It was released alongside the Bronco body-on-frame SUV, featuring a similar retro and off-road styling in a smaller footprint. The vehicle is based on the front-wheel drive-based, unibody C2 platform, which is also used by the Ford Escape crossover and Maverick pickup & Wildtrak.
Engine
The Bronco Sport has two engine options. The base engine is a turbocharged 1.5-liter Ecoboost I3 engine producing 181 hp (184 PS; 135 kW) at 6,000 rpm, and 190 lb⋅ft (260 N⋅m; 26 kg⋅m) of torque at 3,000 rpm. It is also available with a turbocharged 2.0-liter Ecoboost I4 engine producing 245 hp (248 PS; 183 kW) at 6,000 rpm, and 275 lb⋅ft (373 N⋅m; 38.0 kg⋅m) of torque at 3,000 rpm. Both engines are mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission.
First Edition
The First Edition trim level, only available for the 2021 model year, was based on the off-road oriented Badlands trim, and included almost all of its available options and packages (such as luxury leather-trimmed seating surfaces, dual heated front bucket seats, and a Bang and Olufsen premium amplified audio system). Ford's CoPilot 360 Assist+ was the only available option not offered on the First Edition. Production was limited to 2,000 units.

Model Description
This model is a 1:18 Scale diecast-metal with some plastic parts. The Ford brand of 4x4 sports made Broncos are very much regarded as some of the best vehicles within this area. There have been a number of the Ford Bronco spinoffs that sometimes it's hard to keep up with. One of the many variants is our model, the Ford Bronco Wildtrak. Our model is painted in a very dark blue. In fact it's almost purple, but it displayed well with no areas that give any concern. Paint quality is excellent. The bodywork is good with all opening panels fitting well, however, the doors open wide enough to give a reasonable view of the interior, the same could not be said of the rear tailgate. This opens just a fraction and does not give a very good look into the rear of the vehicle. Otherwise the rest of the exterior fits very well with all components fitted firmly. The wheels with the tyres are one of the interesting aspects of this model, and feel almost like rubber but are in fact a soft plastic. But this does not distract from the model.
The interior is typical for this type of model. The steering wheel turns the front wheels, while the detail inside is average. What this means is that while the details can be identified for what they do, there is perhaps a lack of finer detail that has been lost. The interior being done in black due to the making of this model, even at the 1:18 scale, a lot of detail such as decals has not been used, like the dials in the instrument module and also in the center console. Overall the interior while good, it could be better done.
The engine compartment has been done as a single press. This gives the model a more cheap look, however this does give a surprising bit of detail. Everything is black with no color in it, so parts like the battery, and water coolant which are normally white. While a bit better than other models made the same way, for its size could have been made better. As said before how the rear door does not open, the rear door is in two parts. The bottom section, which also contains the spare wheel, does not open wide enough and the detail is on a par with the rest of the model. The top half is depicted as a one section glass that lifts up but has been molded with the rest of the outside of the model so does not open.
So overall, this is an average model that is interesting from my point of view, as it represents a glimpse into these types of vehicles. Die-cast metal quality is very good, with the plastic parts fitting in well with the metal. But I believe that better care and imagination would have made this model better and been better appreciated. Personally I am disappointed, and this is reflected in the points.
